Square Dance Club
![]()
The Briny Breezes Square Dance Club has been active for 60 years.
We currently do "modern" or "western" style square dancing. We currently
have about 20 members and guests and people from other area clubs are always
welcome. Our dances usually begin with cued rounds from 7:30 to 8:00; that is
like ballroom dancing but with a "cuer" giving directions much like a square
dance caller. We then square dance until about 10:00 PM, but with two more
rounds between the square dance "tips."
Dances: Wednesdays from January
through April (Starts January 7, 2009)
Time: 7:30 PM -- 10:00 PM
The Square Dance Club will hold its 60th Anniversary Dance on January 30, 2008
Dues: We ask for a $10.00 donation per dance to support the
costs of our caller Jack Lewis, and our cuer Jerry Viola
and refreshments.

Watch the Bugle for further announcements. We hope to see many more folks at our dances this coming season.
If there is sufficient interest, the Square Dance Club will be offering some ballroom dance lessons in early 2009. The proposed cost is $48 per couple for a package of six lessons, or $10 per lesson for those who wish to pay by the week. The classes will probably be held on Thursday afternoons. Each class would last roughly 75 minutes. If interested, contact John or Barbara LeGrow
